Luna is a collaborative conceptual art piece which was created by five UNC Charlotte students for "Premier Yarns" based in Harrisburg, N.C. The piece consists of numerous crocheted pieces sewn together to cover a mannequin seated in a relaxing pose. When researching and brainstorming to come up with concepts, we learned that many of Premiers customers responded with positive feedback, stating how they used their product in a passive and recreational way. Therefore, the mannequin sits in a peaceful pose. The head serves as a strategic marketing component for the new "Luna Ball" collection, which would be released soon after the piece was done. Luna was exhibited at the "Creativation Convention" in Phoenix, Arizona.
